2023 China’s Conveyor Belt Import and Export Data

According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of China, in 2023, China’s total imports of conveyor belts increased by 39.1% year-on-year (the same applies below) to 10,800 tons. The total import value declined by 2.4% to 31 million U.S. dollars, while the average import price fell by 29.8% to 2,877 U.S. dollars per ton.

According to a report by the Shanghai Securities Journal, Sanlisi has completed its private placement and successfully raised RMB 725 million. After deducting issuance expenses, the net proceeds amounted to RMB 704 million. According to the previously disclosed private-placement plan, Sanlisi intends to use the funds raised from this issuance to build an intelligent industrial park for rubber transmission belts with an annual output of 500 million meters, as well as a digital and smart management platform. It is reported that the project for the intelligent industrial park for rubber transmission belts with an annual output of 500 million meters is expected to require an investment of approximately RMB 155,093.67 million and will be implemented by Zhejiang Sanlisi Intelligent Transmission Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company. Upon reaching full production capacity, the company will add an annual production capacity of 500 million meters of rubber V-belts. This project will also expand the production capacity of high-margin, high-end series rubber V-belts, thereby boosting the sales volume of these premium products. As the scale of high-end rubber V-belts grows, the overall gross profit margin of the proposed investment project is expected to reach 34.83%. As one of the largest rubber V-belt manufacturers in China, Sanlisi has consistently been committed to the research, development, production, and sales of various types of rubber V-belts, whose products are widely used in numerous sectors including industry, agriculture, and automotive manufacturing. According to statistics from the Hose and Belt Branch of the China Rubber Industry Association, from 2020 to 2022, the company ranked first in market share in China’s rubber V-belt market and has been recognized for many consecutive years as one of the “Top 100 Chinese Rubber Industry Enterprises.” The construction of this investment project aligns with the strategic development direction of the rubber industry and will help the company achieve digital and intelligent transformation, further enhancing its competitiveness in the industry.
