High-Inclination Wavy-Sided Conveyor Belt

Product Category:

High-inclination sidewall conveyor belt

  • Product Description
  • Specifications
    • Commodity name: High-Inclination Wavy-Sided Conveyor Belt

The corrugated sidewall conveyor belt features high lateral rigidity, excellent tear resistance, superior flexibility, and outstanding fatigue resistance. It is widely used in sectors such as ports, terminals, metallurgy, mining, building materials, cement, and chemical industries. This conveyor belt boasts a small footprint, allows for large conveying angles, and can smoothly convey materials at angles up to 90°C. It also offers flexible angle adjustments and high conveying efficiency, making it particularly well-suited for handling bulk materials. Additionally, it has the advantages of low maintenance costs, a compact footprint, and significantly reduced investment costs for buildings.

Waved-side conveyor belts are widely used in material handling across various industries, including ports, metallurgy, mining, power generation, coal mining, casting, building materials, grain processing, and chemical engineering. These belts can continuously convey bulk materials at any inclination angle ranging from 0 to 90 degrees. They feature large conveying angles, a broad range of applications, and a compact footprint. Additionally, they eliminate transfer points, reduce civil construction costs, lower maintenance expenses, and offer high throughput—achieving conveying angles that cannot be attained by conventional or patterned conveyor belts. Waved-side conveyor belts can be designed into a complete conveying system tailored to specific requirements, thereby avoiding intermittent conveying and complex lifting systems.

The corrugated sidewall conveyor belt can transport various bulk materials horizontally, on inclines, vertically, and at variable angles—ranging from coal, ore, and sand to fertilizers and grains. The particle size of the materials is unrestricted, covering everything from very small particles to large particles as big as 400 mm. The conveying capacity can range from 1 cubic meter per hour up to 6,000 cubic meters per hour.

    Baseband requirements
Waved-side conveyor belts are required to have a certain tensile strength and wear resistance. For waved-side conveyor belts with open edges, in order to meet the requirements of angular deflection, the belt must exhibit flexibility in the longitudinal direction while maintaining a certain degree of rigidity in the transverse direction. The waved-side conveyor belts produced by our company feature a specially structured transversely rigid base belt, which effectively addresses the issue of belt collapse during the return run in large-sized conveyor belts.

    Baseband architecture
The carcass consists of four main components: the top cover rubber, the bottom cover rubber, the belt core, and the lateral stiffness layer. The thickness of the top cover rubber typically ranges from 3 to 6 mm, while the thickness of the bottom cover rubber generally falls between 1.5 and 4.5 mm. The belt core material is responsible for bearing tensile forces; it can be made of cotton canvas (CC), nylon canvas (NN), polyester canvas (EP), or steel cord (ST). To enhance the lateral rigidity of the belt, a special reinforcing layer—known as the lateral stiffness layer—is incorporated into the core structure. The width specifications of the carcass are identical to those of conventional conveyor belts and comply with the standards specified in GB/T 7984-2001.
