High-temperature resistant conveyor belt

Product Category:

Layered Fabric-Cored Conveyor Belt

  • Product Description
  • Specifications
    • Commodity name: High-temperature resistant conveyor belt

High-temperature conveyor belts are primarily used for conveying high-temperature materials such as sintered ore, hot coke, cement clinker, and hot castings. Depending on the primary failure modes of the belt—such as cover rubber damage leading to loss of conveying capacity—and different levels of heat resistance, either ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) or styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) is used as the cover rubber; while high-strength, high-permeability polyester canvas or cotton canvas serves as the carcass layer. A heat-resistant fiberglass fabric can be laid between the cover rubber and the carcass layer to further extend the service life of the belt. Upon customer request, the belt can also be manufactured in a circular configuration.

The function of high-temperature conveyor belts
The surface temperature of the belt body is closely related to its temperature and the service life of the heat-resistant belt, directly affecting the bonding strength between the cover layer and the core layer.
Thicker coverage ensures a longer service life.
Higher heat resistance doesn't necessarily mean a better application.
Higher heat resistance correlates with lower adhesion and wear resistance.
PL makes the selection based on the actual situation.

The application is widely used for conveying sintered products and returned ore, coke, cement clinker, quicklime, and special chemicals in sintering plants, coking plants, cement plants, and chemical plants. It features excellent high-temperature resistance and wear resistance, making it suitable for transporting materials under a variety of different temperature conditions.

High-temperature resistant: The temperature of the conveyed material is 70–180°C for bulk materials and 70–150°C for powdered materials. The surface temperature of the conveyor belt ranges from 60 to 180°C. This conveyor belt features excellent high-temperature resistance and wear resistance, making it suitable for transporting high-temperature bulk materials. It is primarily used in medium- and low-temperature conveying systems for materials such as coke and sintered products. The thickness of the cover rubber is typically 4.5 mm on the top layer and 1.5 mm on the bottom layer.

Flame-retardant TS1: The temperature of the transported materials ranges from 200 to 400°C; the surface temperature of the conveyor belt ranges from 60 to 400°C. A distinctive feature is that the working surface of the conveyor belt is covered with a special heat-resistant fabric above its robust layer. The covering layer uses a specialized formulation that chars upon exposure to high temperatures without peeling off. This conveyor system is designed for transporting high-temperature materials such as sintered products, coke, returned ore, and hot cement clinker. The thickness of the cover rubber is typically 10 mm on the top layer and 3 mm on the bottom layer.

Flame-resistant TS2: The temperature of the conveyed material ranges from 200 to 600°C; the surface temperature of the conveyor belt that can be used ranges from 60 to 600°C. The belt features a robust core made of a full-width metal spiral mesh, offering excellent resistance to burning, high-temperature performance, flame retardancy, and tear resistance, making it suitable for material transportation in various industrial and mining environments. The thickness of the cover rubber is typically 6–10 mm on the top layer and 3 mm on the bottom layer.

Key points for selecting heat-resistant conveyor belts:
    1. The surface temperature of the conveyor belt varies depending on the type and size of the materials being transported. In the case of large pieces, gaps are formed between the pieces, causing the conveyor belt's surface temperature to be significantly lower than that of the materials being conveyed—such as sintered ore products and coke.
    2. On the other hand, for the transportation of powders and powder-like materials, there is virtually no temperature difference—examples include cement products, alumina, and carbon black. Therefore, when selecting the type of heat-resistant conveyor belt, in addition to considering the temperature of the material being transported, it is also essential to accurately determine the surface temperature of the conveyor belt itself.
    3. Attention should be paid to the system’s processing and the material’s instantaneous maximum temperature.
    4. Execution Standard: High-temperature resistant type, HG/T2297 TS1TS2 type, QD/T05-2000.
