ANRPC: Natural Rubber Trends and Statistics for April 2021

According to data from the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC),

In April 2021, global natural rubber (NR) production totaled 903,000 tons, while global demand for natural rubber reached 1.129 million tons. Despite the strong fundamentals of the NR industry, both futures and spot market prices experienced significant fluctuations compared to the previous month, showing a “V-shaped” trend.

Due to the worrying infection rates of the global pandemic, some countries have implemented lockdown measures of varying degrees to combat the outbreak. This could lead to delays in the recovery of economic activity.

In addition, geopolitical tensions, trade wars, and other pressing issues could also introduce further uncertainties.
